Position: Social Media Rockstar

Term: Full Time Permanent (35 hours weekly)

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Pay: $15/hour + benefits (after 3 months)

Start Date: ASAP

 

Coal and Canary is looking for a permanent Social Media Superstar who lives the Coal and Canary lifestyle to be the behind the scenes of all social media platforms! 

 

Responsibilities​

• Ensures consistency of brand voice across all social media platforms by working directly with Marketing Lead and company owner

• Responsible for feed planning and posting across all social media platforms (primarily TikTok, Instagram and Facebook)

• Write copy for all social media posts

• Collects customer data and analyzes customer interactions, presents to Marketing Lead to improve marketing strategy

• Grow and expand company social media presence- gains followers, increases engagement and brand awareness, etc.

• Stays up to date with current social media trends and implements those trends into Coal and Canary’s social media presence

• Communicate with followers across social media platforms and responds to their comments and inquiries in a timely manner

• Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy

• Define most important social media KPIs (KPIs provide targets for teams to shoot for, milestones to gauge progress, and insights that help people across the organization make better decisions.)

• Measure the success of every social media campaign

• Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies and trends

• Attend educational conferences

• Work with copywriter and designer to ensure content is informative, appealing and consistent

• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development team

• Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization

• Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

• Provide constructive feedback

• Adhere to rules and regulations

• Present concepts to Senior Management

 

 

Requirements

 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proficient in the use of all social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

• Capable of self direction

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong eye for design and visual feed layout

• 1-2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role preferred (but not required)

• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

• Experience with doing target market research

• Good understanding of social media KPIs

• Excellent multitasking skills

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Good time-management skills

• Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

• High level of energy and optimism
