We Heart Scattered Seeds
Our favourite season is here... It's SHOW SEASON! We wait all year for this moment. For real, we love shows because it's a chance for us to meet and chat with our customers and meet all the other amazing vendors. It brings us so much joy to see all the other entrepreneurs (both local and all over the country) doing their thang. Also, since we go to all these shows, we get to do our Christmas shopping early. Or maybe we just buy everything for ourselves...we'll never say ;)
We'll be at Scattered Seeds at the Red River Ex grounds October 11-14 and we can't wait. Scattered Seeds is proudly owned and operated by Manitobans and has been in the running since 1995. The mother-daughter duo truly loves what they do and everyday they strive to celebrate, support, and encourage creativity within the city. They support small businesses here by providing a reasonably priced venue for artists and crafters to display and sell their work and we love them for it.
Here are some of our FAV vendors who will be at Scattered Seeds this year:
We are living for Ulla + Vigo right now. They make the CUUUTEST, and we really mean cutest, little shoes.
If you have a child of your own, or have any friends or family who have little ones, these shoes are the perfect gift. We just scrolled through their shop giggle laughing because of how fricken adorable these are. You can buy these cute little booties and feel good about it because you know you are supporting a local entrepreneur. What is better?
Keeping on the kids theme, when you're at Scattered Seeds, you have to check out Tiny Inspirations. They make modern and thoughtfully designed teething accesories.
It's teething jewellery that we would 10000% wear.... Like, we don't teeth anymore but we want them for ourselves. We promise they are the most stunning teethers you will ever see. Also - every piece in the collection is personally designed and handcrafted by Erica (the creator) in her studio located here in Winnipeg!
When we're not looking at cute kids clothing and accesories, we are thinking about food. Duh. You're going to want to stop by Gourmet Inspirations and grab one of their many amazing sauces, like creamy peppercorn whisky or salt and caramel whisky. Uhhhhh yeah. How good does that sound?
Peter, the founder, found his cullinary roots on his family farm in Southern Manitoba where he spent his days immersed in the garden, handling fresh and hearty ingredients and cooking in the kitchen for family and friends.
Check them out at Scattered Seeds and make sure to check out their yummy recipes.
