Outdoor Scenes & Feeling Green

September 6, 2018

Last week Team Coal and Canary went to FortWhyte Alive for a meeting in their Lakeside Meeting Room  nestled along the forest and overlooking the lake. It was a great space to get the creative juices flowing to create some new collections. We had SO much fun and it was a perfect place to connect, collaborate and step into the wild as a team.

Most gorge meeting room EVER!

It's so serious, apparantly. That reusable water bottle got us a point on our scavenger hunt ;)

 The ideas were flowing here!

After a delish lunch from The Buffalo Stone Café our team split into two and went on a scavenger hunt. We're actually considering hiring the FortWhyte team to make candles names for us, because LOOK at the scavenger hunt names they made:

  • Are We There Yet & No Internet

  • Get Creative & Contemplative

  • Hug A Tree for Sustainability

  • Nature Hikes & Online Likes

  • Cedar Boards & Exhibits Indoors

After careful review of the scavenger hunt points from the FortWhyte team, our teams TIED. Can you believe?!

This photo would be us hugging a tree for sustainability.

We're a little out of practice with using real-life cameras instead of iphones, so please enjoy the photo gallery below.

These are the edible plants that Ryan and Alicia found that we don't know if they are actually edible.

We went on a beautiful day, so obviously our entire team was sweating because we don't know how to dress for outside. Some of us even tried to jog for like one minute and then we were tired out.

There is so much to see at FortWhyte Alive  we didn't even get to see everything. We came up with a million candle names though — some of which were immediatly turned down. Think "Swipe Right & Baby For Life."

If you're looking for an inspiring place to have your next meeting or get together give the awesome folks at FortWhyte Alive a call! Here is an amazing photo of Ryan to put a smile on your face.
